Say That Again.......

I was inspired by a recent post over at Mrs. S.'s blog and was struck by the universality of certain aspects of family life. Her Top Ten post of phrases commonly heard in her home, prompted a scientific study in mine ;)
Here are the results, and thanks, Mrs. S., for the inspiration.

"Where are you going?"

"When are you coming home?"

"Can I check my email?"

"Who left their breakfast dishes in the sink?"

"Who forgot to hang up the bathmat again?"

"What's for dinner?

"Could somebody please pick up the phone!!!" (Alternately: "Jenniferrrrr! It's Racheeeeeeelllll.....")

"Does anybody have my socks?"

"Who are we having for Shabbos?"

and finally.........
"Do NOT put that on the blog!!!"

What is most commonly heard over at YOUR house?

"Why do we have to recycle?" I have that discussion with my spouse every time we take the garbage down.

LOL! A while back, I wrote a post about how teenagers are completely oblivious to ringing phones... :-)

Thanks for the link!

I would like to commend you on four and five. In my house, it's "Who left their bowl on the table? Go put it in the sink." Or, "Who flooded the bathroom floor?"

I believe "Where are my socks?" has got to be univeral.

We also have, "What do you have for homework tonight?", "Did you pack your meals for school?" and "E.! What are you doing!?" (or the alternative, "What happened here?!". Oh, and "Get out of my room."

Think it's a demographics thing? :)
This is fun.

"Why do people move out of the heights?" And "Could we eat at G 6 again?" (Answer) "Yes when they invite us". (I'm not hinting at anything just stating the most often phrases heard in my house).

Yekke Wannabe -

If I'm not mistaken, you have a certain outstanding un-RSVP'd invitation to the G6 household for a certain Motzoei Shabbos.... :P

And regardless, you are ALWAYS welcome ;)
