Skywatch

Just thought I'd share with you a few pretty photos I took of the sky. Sometimes I think that if my shul could have a retractable ceiling and it would be open on days like today, my kavana would be improved markedly.....

VioletSky -
My apologies.
To save others the trouble, "shul" is a place of Jewish worship (temple).
"Kavana" refers to one's concentration during prayers, one's understanding of the words and full feelings as one prays.

No problem.
I'm enjoying your past posts - it's fun to learn new things (especially when presented with a good dose of humour!)

Agreed! Our shule has high windows all around the ceiling of our sanctuary so the sun's rays shine in on Shabbat morning...and indeed this lifts my heart up to greet HaShem with tremendous joy as I pray...but wow, to see the whole sky above, that would be amazing!

shabbat shalom

this reminds me of the skies I have been seeing around Long Island as of late.

If you look at the ceiling by the Oron Kodesh it looks like sky.
